General recommendations:

To save energy, condenser heat can be recovered to space heating, ice resurfacing water, snow melting. Humidity Control can be separate from or combined with the refrigeration system.

Specific to Northern / Cool Climates

Anti-freeze will always be used as condenser coolant in refrigeration plants.
